Dr. Omendra Ratnu is a medical doctor who founded Nimittekam, a non-profit through which he purportedly works for the settlement of Pakistani Hindus in India.

In 2022 he authored a book, ‘Maharanas: A Thousand-Year War For Dharma’ on the supposed history of the Hindu Rajputs. An  OpIndia report sums up his work as follows, “This new book is a synopsis of the one-thousand-year illustrious history of the proud legacy of the Rajputs of Mewar or Mewad who stood guard, lost countless generations of their children in protecting ‘Maa Bharati’ ( Mother India) and resisted several decades of Ghazwa-e-Hind (an Islamist doctrine forecasting the dominance of Islam over India) by marauding, ruthless, and bloodthirsty Islamic tyrannical rulers.”

Ratnu’s book is an addition to the Hindu nationalist ecosystem that seeks to rewrite history to demonize Muslims and Islam and to assert sole dominance of Hindus over India.

In April 2022, he tweeted, “The book that’ll bring out tears of blood in your eyes, swell your heart with pride & destroy every Leftist-Jehadi lie on the glorious Hindu resistance to Islamic invaders.”

Ratnu habitually addresses Muslims with pejorative terminologies like ‘Jihadi’ and ‘Muderers’ and perpetuates the hoax of “Ghazwa-e-Hind” and other anti-Muslim conspiracy theories to spread hatred against Muslims.

According to Ratnu, Muslim Rajputs must convert to Hinduism to enjoy equal treatment at par with Hindus of the Rajput caste.

“Generations of Rajputs of Bharat died fighting Islamic murderers. Muslim Rajput is an oxymoron at best and a cruel joke at worst. Let the Muslim Rajputs do Ghar Wapsi ( Conversion to Hinduism), then we can give them respect reserved for Rajputs. As Muslims, they are only murderers of our ancestors.” he tweeted.

He has been closely associated with Swami Paripoornananda, a Hindu extremist monk notorious for giving hate speeches against religious minorities. Ratnu and Paripoornananda joined hands to promote ghar wapsi ( conversion to Hinduism) of Muslims, Christians, and other religious minorities.

He made fun of Muslim concerns about the discriminatory Citizenship Amendment Act-2019 by stating, “If Muslims are permitted to apply for citizenship in India from adjacent nations, then the Indian border should be expanded to create Akand Bharat—United India.”

In June 2023, he said on The Jaipur Dialogues, a Hindu far-right propaganda platform, that Pakistan was not allowing minority Hindus to migrate to India because Pakistan sees them as their opponent in the ‘upcoming’ jihad- Ghazwa e Hind.

He added, “Muslims have an agenda to Islamacise the whole world, and ‘Ghazwa e Hind’ is a part of it. How are they going to let the one crore Hindu’ prisoners’ leave Pakistan when they can easily kill them?”
