Guruprasad Gowda is the state coordinator for the Hindu militant organization – Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. He is known for his staunch anti-minority stance and extreme longing to convert India into a Hindu Rashtra (nation).
“Let us not be satisfied with token presence, but be ready to put our full might for the establishment of Hindu Rashtra, ” Gowda spoke at a state-level program for Hindu Rashtra in Bangalore.
“The demand for Hindu Rashtra does not mean just a change in the constitution, but a Hindu Rashtra based on the foundation of Dharma. If a Nation is developing, it does not mean it is progressing. We need to establish an ideal Hindu Rashtra based on the principles of Rama Rajya. All Hindu organizations must unitedly join in this struggle” Gowda added.
The organization HJS runs extensive campaigns to transform India into a Hindu polity through fear-mongering among Hindus and spreading false propaganda and anti-Muslim hatred and bigotry.
Gowda revealed, “The Hindu Jana Jagruthi Samithi at the national level has held such meetings in 2,127 places in 13 states. As more than 21.41 lakh people have participated in these meetings, awareness about the importance of ‘Hindu Rashtra’ has been created among as many people, he said. During the meeting in Udupi on February 26, the exhibition of religious books, awareness programs, and talks by resource persons will be held”.
He implores Hindus to completely boycott Muslims in the state by avoiding engaging in commercial activities with the traders and business people of the Muslim community.
Gowda warned Hindus during Diwali by peddling the fallacy that a separate ‘halal economy’ was being established by Muslim organizations across the globe, and it had already been well established that the funds were being used for funding terror activities, which was a matter of concern, reported The Hindu.
In a joint press conference with the militant group Hindu Sene Chief Pramod Muthalik, he urged Hindus not to purchase goods from Muslim shopkeepers and vendors and observe a halal-free Pooja.
Notably, the HJS and other far-right Hindu organizations are running campaigns for the economic boycott of Muslims in the region.
