Kiran Kamalesh Tiwari is the president of the Hindu far-right political party called Hindu Samaj Party, which is headquartered in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. She is the widow of Kamlesh Tiwari- the Hindu extremist leader who was allegedly murdered in Lucknow in October 2019 under mysterious circumstances. Kamlesh Tiwari’s mother had accused Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of killing his son.
Kamlesh Tiwari was well known for his anti-Muslim hate and bigotry. Now his wife has succeeded him in leading the party that aims to cleanse India of ‘Jihadi Muslims’ and transform it into a ‘Hindu Rashtra.’
The Hindu Samaj Party headed by Tiwari has the following aims:
To transform India into a Hindu Rashtra
To make India Islam-free
The welfare of Hindus and the promotion of the idea of Hindutva
To make India militarily well equipped
She believes that India belongs to Hindus and Muslims have no right to stay in the country after the formation of Pakistan on religious lines. In one of her Facebook posts, she wrote, why are these “shameless’ Muslims still staying in our country?”
Kiran Kamlesh Tiwari is equally venomous as her deceased husband when it comes to attacking Muslims. She usually promotes violence and openly advocates for extra judicial means.
She reveres Nathuram Godse, the Hindu extremist who murdered Mahatma Gandhi, and posts pictures garlanding his portraits.
Unsatisfied with the probe into her husband’s murder case, she demanded the state government to deliver the culprits to her and she would do ‘justice.’
In 2023 she said that whoever dares to disrespect the Hindu religious text Ramcharitamanas should be shot dead. She even announced a sum of fifty thousand rupees reward for the killers.
Her social media feeds are a constant source of anti-Muslim rants, Islamophobia, and propaganda.
