Vikram Bhave is a Hindu militant and member of Goa-based Sanatan Sanstha. Though the Sanatan Sanstha claims to be devoted to educating “people about the science of spiritualism,” its members have been accused of being involved in terror plots.

Bhave is the author of the book ‘Invisible Hand Behind the Malegaon Bomb Blast’ and is a Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad member.

Bhave is an accused in the case of the killing of rationalist Narendra Dabholkar on August 20, 2013, in Pune, Maharashtra. Bhave helped two assassins who shot Dabholkar with a recce of the spot and escape route after the crime.

He was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) along with Mumbai-based Sanatan Sanstha lawyer Sanjeev Punalekar.

In 2008, six persons owing allegiance to Sanatan Sanstha were arrested for planting bombs in auditoriums at Thane and Vashi and in a movie theater at Panvel. Bhave was also among one the accused. On August 30, 2011, Bhave and Ramesh Gadkari were convicted in sessions court of the Thane blasts and sentenced to ten years of rigorous imprisonment.
